Mrs. Monstrosities' Candy Shoppe of Wonder

So, I wrote another one! Hope you like:

__________
“Welcome, One and All to Mrs. Monstrosities’ Candy Shoppe of Wonder!” The sign exclaimed. I stepped through the too small door into exactly what the sign said--a candy Shoppe of wonder. Candies and treats lined the walls so that I could barely make out the color underneath. Children ran around with lollipops and licorice, some of them pulling on their parents’ coats begging for the delicacies.
I stepped around the fallen treats, and to the back of the store. I found the door that hid so well behind a rack of gummies, and turned the knob. I stepped into the back room, where the boxes and boxes of candy greeted me with their sugary-sweet smell. I sat on my stool and went to work unwrapping the candy and taking inventory.
Ah yes, the Marvelous Wonders of the Mrs. Monstrosities’ Candy Shoppe worker!
__________

Soo... yeah. I need help writing some short stories (paragraphs, really)! *starts thinking to herself* 'Maybe Sam could put this on her Facebook? I'll ask...'

Umm.. I'm going to ask my friend to put this up on her Facebook thing.... I'm not sure what it's called (all I do it write... :)  ), and hopefully her friends will comment to help me. :} In all seriousness, please do comment, and give me an idea. If I decide to use your idea, I'll put your name and I'll post your comment before the story/paragraph. Please, though, do not post ideas that you wanted to use! Keep those to yourself and maybe you can become an author too. :) (Not like I'm one yet... :/ )

Anyways...

Life Story

So, here is another short story. I'm not sure how good it is, I couldn't really think of anything to write, so I did one of those exercises where you write whatever you can for a few minutes straight. ^__^

____________________

Hello, My name is Margaret. I am going to tell you right now about the story of my life. I was born in a small town in Oregon, and grew up there until I was 10 years old. I can't remember much about it, the whole time I was there, I sat in my room, playing with dolls. As a child, I didn't do much in the way of friends. Every friend I ever had just wanted to come over and see my doll collection. Therefore, I hadn't many friends.
I do remember one kid though. She was a redhead, and she loved dolls. She used to talk about them all the time at school. I invited her over one day to see my dolls. She said yes, of course. We've been friends ever since.
When I was 10, my family moved us to the other side of the country, to Maine. It was very cold. I still don't remember much about it, and still, most of my days were spent playing with dolls. I spent all my time with my "Play friends", as my mom liked to call them. Because fo this, I was never popular, except with the elderly, who are, (not a big shocker here) avid doll collectors. From them, I learned what dolls are good if you really want to play with them, and what dolls were excellent if you wanted to collect them.
After college in Maine, I moved by myself to Florida, the Sunshine State. I started a little doll shop where you could donate dolls to children in need of them. I earned a lot of dolls for kids, and they were so happy when they got them.
After this adventure, I went on to retire. By that time, I was 67 years old. I had a nice little cottage that was by the sea, and it was decorated in a very sailor-themed way. I loved it there. Of course, my house was inhabited by dolls. I had no children or grandchildren, but some of the kids from the school down the street from my house visited my a couple times a week. They thought I couldn't cook for myself, so they brought me treats and homemade meals.
Then, in April of 2000, I died in my sleep.
So. You are caught up on my life. Now, I am going to tell you where I am today.
Now, I operate a small shop that sells dolls. Voo-doo dolls to be exact. It is a very fun business; I get to make dolls at my living place, and then sell them to my loyal customers. Most of which had a bad past life. I tried not to sell them to people that I knew would use them badly. I also took commissions. If they had a family member that they wanted to be with, or some old boss that they wanted to mess with, they could just bring me a picture, and I would recreate them as a doll.
Sometimes, I would get ghosts, who only have a limited time to come to me. The exciting people were the ones from the real world who contacted me through meditation. I had to convince them that I could not give them the dolls because I did not know them, and they could have evil intentions. They usually got angry, but they couldn't hurt me because I was already dead. I didn't haunt anywhere, so they couldn't exorcise me.
One time, I got to go to the real world. It was for a potential client who was a human. I was able to appear human for a period of three days in order to get her business. She had a daughter, whom I was left alone with for 15 minutes while she got her pictures together. The girl talked about some book called 'Twilight', and these vampires which sounded nothing like the real things. I didn't tell her that she was wrong, that no vampire that has ever existed has looked like that; for fear that I would lose her mother's business.

So I know it sorta ends abruptly there, but I couldn't think of anything else. :P Anyway, hope you like =^__^=

Lord Samuel's Adventures in the Middle Ages

Below is another story I wrote, this one for school. I got 100% on it. ^__^
____________________________________
                To Whom it may Concern:
While I was away, (as some of you may know) I was crowned as a Lord. Now, it may be hard to believe, but I was actually Lord for an entire year.
The greatest thing about being a Lord was the servants. I had very few peasants or slaves; most of my help were serfs. They actually pledged life-long loyalty to me, even though they’d never even met me before!
There were a few months during the beginning of the year that were a bit hard on my body. Many of my servants fell ill, and a great bit of them died. I had more life-volunteers after the fact, however.

What is also interesting is that I was Lord to many people, mainly my Vassals. They protected me in exchange for a fraction of my land. We had a few barbarian attacks throughout the year, but my Vassals and Knights protected me.

Occasionally, I had to make an appearance in the city. Not for the people, but at one of the guilds I supported. The Gentlemen there were fairly courteous; they asked me to come and give a speech once a month. As you can imagine, I am quite good at writing speeches now. (Well, perhaps just organizing them, one of my serfs took dictation for me, although his penmanship was horrendous.) It definitely feels strange to be writing for myself again.
On the days I went into the city, I spent about an hour giving my speech at the guild’s meeting-house. Then I spent the rest of the time I could “window shopping”. One of my Vassals escorted me, and insisted I stand on the inside of the streets, nearest the shops, as to avoid the falling rubbish. It was terribly embarrassing for me, for walking as such was considered a Lady’s place. However, I howled with laughter the one time my Vassal was hit.

I am terribly sorry if I caused any trouble or delay in progress while I was gone, but as you can probably tell, it was a bit unexpected. I will try to get back in touch with everyone over the next few days if I can remember how to work the technology.

                Thank You,
                                Lord Samuel

So, this was supposed to be speech for students at a "college" or something, like I'd just gotten back from the Middle ages, but I decided to take creative license and make it a letter explaining what had happened. I hope you like it. Please comment if you do!*

Sixty Seconds of Love

Okay, so here's my first story post! :D
________________

As I stood staring down the dark hallway, my heart pounded against my ribs. No longer did I care for the way he treated me. I was tired of being called a child by him, I wanted-- no, needed for him to know my feelings. Each step I took got me closer to that. There was no way I could turn back now. I reached the red door and extended my hand. Turning the knob, I opened the door. I saw him, lying in his bed, hands behind his head, with ear buds in his ears. As I closed the door, he looked over to me with a serene look on his face. I could feel my ears burning.
"I need to talk to you." I said. He gave one sharp nod, and stayed silent. "I love you." I said. He was surprised, that much I could tell. He got up off the bed and stepped closer to me. He never said a word, instead pulling me close to him and hugging me. It was a long hug, and when he let me go, he kissed the top of my head.
"Goodbye" He whispered. He sank down to his knees, then fell on the ground. He became motionless after just a few seconds.

It took me a few years, but I learned since that fateful night that sixty seconds of love was all he needed. He had been waiting for me to realize what I felt. And when I had, he was able to leave. Sometimes I smelled his cologne, other times I felt his presence. I was angry at him for leaving me after I told him how I felt, but I knew that he had done what he was meant to do; he showed me what love was.

______________

Okay, so I hope you liked that. If you want to give me constructive criticism, please feel free to comment. However, I will not allow negative comments on here.

So... Thanks :)

This Blog

^^ Okay, so I had no idea what to name this... ^^

Anyway, my friend Sam made this blog for me (I think she's got one or two blogs here, not sure what they're called) so if I mess up something, it's because I don't really know much about technology. Sam taught me everything that I know about this, so I don't have much leeway to be doing many things unless she helps me. Although, I can get her to help me fairly easily, so..... ^__^

Anyway, just wanted to put that out here. I will be posting a story soon, just wanted to put this first. Yeah... If I get some questions I might do a frequently asked questions post. Just ask them in the comments, and I'll try to answer all of them. ^__^

First Post!

Hey guys, so this is my first post on my blog. I'm so excited! Yay! Haha. No one probably knows me, I'm not that well known yet. Ah well~~ hopefully I will get my books published (I sure do mention that a lot huh?) and then you will all know me. :) A girl can dream, right?

Umm... So yeah. (For a writer, I guess I'm not very literate haha) I will be posting some little stories that I make up. Sometimes I might talk about my characters, but probably not too often... I wouldn't want to spoil the surprise! So sometimes I'll post close to 500 words, maybe more, other times I may post a paragraph. This blog is designed to get everyone familiar with my writing style, and once I have more info about my books, I might start posting that stuff too.

Anyway, I hope everyone enjoys my blog. :)
